THAT MIGHT WORK. BUT YOU MIGHT WANNA BE CAREFUL BECAUSE SQUIRRELS & RACCOONS & OTHER ANIMALS MIGHT EAT IT FIRST.

I HAVE A QUESTION:

WHY WOULD YOU EVEN WANT BIRDS IN YOUR LAWN???

first get cats and dogs out of the yard. When my neighbor's cat is not around, my lawn is teeming iwth birds specially quails. second put feeders around, or plant fruit bearers like grapes, cherry. I think the quails and blue jays go for the grapes. third, a bird bath. I have a fountain and birds go there to drink and bathe. Then the play on the lawn and patio sunning themselves, chasing each other. What I noticed is that right after I mow the lawn, birds come over...maybe there's seed in the grass or bugs are more visible for them when the grass is manicured.

Yes birdseed in the lawn will definitely help. Get a bird feeder also. Put a bird bath out there. Throw your stale bread and crackers out there. If you have any other pets like dogs or cats keep them in the house this will deter the birds.

That will do it if the squirrels don't eat it first.
A rotting ox corpse will do the same thing.
