Are Electric Patio Heaters Any Good ??

I am looking to buy a wall mounted 2kw electric patio heater which uses an infra red bulb to produce the heat in the same way the sun heats us. Does anyone know if these are any good??

No, they are bad for the environment and add to the greenhouse effect and the depletion of the ozone layer.

Do you really want your future Grandchildren to have to shield themselves from the sun in case they get cancer just so you can keep warm while you are outside? Put a jumper on.

Not for the environment they're not!

seriously a local boozer has them and they do put out some heat.
