Has anyone here seen the First Lord of the Rings that was made in 1978?

How is the movie, did you like it?

The animation was not that good, but the movie was made in 1978. I think we have gotten spoiled with all the new crytal clear animation and now the old stuff looks crappy to us.
I like old cartoons, I grew up watching them and miss the way they used to be made.

Lord of the Rings ftw. Star Wars just fails in comparison, and it has bad acting!!!!!! Peter Jackson is so much better than whoever directs Star Wars

If you are talking about the animated version, it could have been better. The story stops halfway through the second book, and the animation itself (particularly the backgrounds) was very psychedelic in nature and not of good quality.

It was Horrible.
The animation was less than perfect and it could have done without the stupid songs.
It was a Rankin/Bass production I believe...The same people that brought us rudolph and the other Christmas shows...so it had some really corny songs in it.
