I try to back my documents up on my jump drive to take with me to work or someplace else. Most of the files transfer but there are a few that throw an error saying "path or file could not be created". I have changed all the properties in the folder but it does not seems to work. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance!

The jump drive is 1gig and the total space of office files is 232mb. There is plenty of space. This only happens with certain files or folders.

too many files in the "root" directory.

copy some files to a temp directory, create file folders and put the files back into the drive.

Can't imagine why you are having this problem. I take files back and forth to work all the time.

Check available disk space: Open My Computer, right-click on the drive for the flashdrive, and select Properties. You should get a chart showing used and free space.

Other than that, if you are copying a straightforward Office file, try copying again.

Sorry, have to ask the obvious questions:

Are you sure there's enough space on your jump drive for all of the files?

Could the files on your computer possibily be set as "Read Only" That may prevent them from being transferred. Just right-click on the file and go to properties.

Which version of Excel are you utilizing? Excel 2003 won't open Excel 2007 devoid of Microsoft's conversion patch. different than that, i might attempt utilizing a various leap force to work out if it the leap force or the record.
