Parents. We've become a nation of people who let television and the internet raise our children, and use material goods as replacements for parenting skills.Teenagers think they have every right to have thousands spent on the alone every year. They have little or no concept of how to earn their way or how to save money, because their parents buy them whatever they want on credit. But politicians have some fault here too,by requiring schools to teach students how to pass tests, not how to think.I don't think many of my teenage son's friends can think in the abstract at all.

Great Question.
I think the biggest problem is the parents who brainwash their kids into voting for a political party instead of candidate. The parents who would brainwash their kids are the ones that are the biggest problem.
Personally, I think that daily life would be much bad parents were blamed more than politicians.

I believe it is a combination of both. Parents today, either ignore their children or baby them so much that they can do no wrong. Politicians and society itself are asking too much form children at too early of an age. Children in kindergarten have to be able to read before they can move up. I remember learning how to tie my shoes and use a big pencil. Let kids be kids and teach them right from wrong. Let them develop mentally the way they should. Everyone in society should take a developmental psychology class to see how children learn and what they learn at the different stages of development.

Parents. They need to raise their children to higher standards. I'm not talking capital punishment, but a good spanking never hurt me. And I didn't grow up disresrecting my parents, or other adults, and IF I did it was ONLY once. Parents should be held responsible for thier childrens actions, then we could start getting back on track.
