My friend was talking about her daughter buying a cute girls bikini at Limited Too.
She is an early bloomer so she knows boys will be looking at her more than just being cute.
The thing is that she gets straight A's and is in all kinds of after school activities.
She also is very open with her Mom, and has said she would not want to do anything stupid since she has big plans for college and career already.
So if she has a balance of right and wrong, is there any harm for her to have a two piece at her age?

no, there's nothing wrong with it, unless she is overweight, and her tummy flops out (i'm not saying she is, i'm just saying "if")

I've always worn two pieces since I was a baby! I wore them all through my tween years, and I'm almost 14. A bikini should have no negative connontations, it's still clothing. Your friend should be thankful that the most she's doing is wearing a bikini- you should look at some of these questions in this section about girls being pregnant at 15! There is absolutely no problem with wearing a bikini, what so ever.

Well,
I've been wearing a two piece bathing suit since i was about...hmm...5 or even 4?
Unless her daughter SERIOUSLY is trying to show off to boys, then no, but other than that, she seems fine.
Just make sure It's not a L O O S E bathing suit, because if it falls off accidently, then it will definetly attract attention. [[i'm just saying]]
but..to the point..I think it's fine.

There's nothing wrong with someone her age wearing a bikini. Girls of all ages wear that. She also sounds like a very responsible girl, so there is absolutely nothing to worry about.

Nothing wrong with it, and I really don't think there is a big reaction when grrls lose the top or the bottom, if they promptly fix themselves. I do not see a big reaction when grrls remove their bathing suits to dress in normal clothes, if they are reasonably prompt.

There is so much semi-nudity around in everyday life I think most people are used to it.

No there isn't anything wrong. But you could always suggest to your friend that she get a cute cover-up to go over the bikini.

I don't see why not. If she's a responcible girl then there really is no reason why she shouldn't. I see girls of every age at the beach wearing bikinis. There isn't anything wrong with it.

Well, no
My sister wore a bakini when she was 6. I did not wear one until I was 15 but that's only because I thought I was fat before.
