According to Wikipedia, there were issues with a contract for Judge Mablean.

Toyloy is right. The producers wnated her to keep the same appearence but she wanted to do what she wanted and stood her ground so they fired her with another woman who has the look the wanted Mablean to have.

the station had a problem with Judge Mablean changing her appearance. she wore braids, wigs to change her appearance and the studio had problems with it.
