It's illegal in most states to disconnect the air bag from the vehicle.
Think of it this way....your buddy may have gotten busted up from an air bag but just think how busted up he could have been if it wasn't there.
I've been in several accidents in cars with and without air bags and in my opinion they do work. I hit the steering wheel with my chest and face then hit the windshield without an airbag and it HURT!! My passenger ate the dashboard and windshield and was unconscious and bleeding. He had to have his jaw wired shut and sipped mashed potatoes through a straw for a month. His back was also injured.
Couple of years later, I was the passenger in a very similar accident but we were hit at a higher speed. His car had front and side air bags and we both walked away with nothing but bruises. My face did hurt from the passenger bag but after knowing what could happen, i'll take an air bag anyday.

a number of your decision relies upon on the position you stay. once you've snow/ice or a lot rain, and it causes a lot rust, then there would properly be little rusty bits the following and there that reason complications throughout, lots of the example complications you cite are about rust, and if there is rust in a unmarried position, it may well be your radiator, engine block or different major bits are going to exhibit rust harm quickly. think ofyou've got some thing that qualifies for a "Clunker credit" and it would make a deal on an low priced new vehicle plausible.

I talked to a mechanic about doing this and he said not to mess with it. It could go off while your trying to get it out. They had a car in there garage one time that nobody was even around and the airbag went off by it self.I was in an accident and mine went off. Trust me, you don't want to be any where near one when they do.
