I am a University of Texas undergraduate and plan to transfer over to UNC for my junior and senior years. What GPA would I need to achieve to be in the runnings for acceptance?

There's no set GPA, but I'd guess maybe a 3.0. It's a lot easier to get accepted as a transfer than an incoming freshman. Most people transfer from a community college, so if you're doing well in college now then your chances are high. Good luck! Carolina is a beautiful school.

UT is one of the best state universities. UNC at Chapel Hill is one of the few that is better. You can get information about admission from web sites like US News and World Reports or from Princeton Review.

You can also contact the admissions office at UNC and ask them for advice.
