If you are half of a parent, of course you worry about the impression your children have of you. I know as a mother, I want my boys to look up to me and admire me. Not later down the road, think ...hey mom was a complete psycho or druggie, etc. When you make the decision to have children, you are making the decision to forever change your life.

Yes, always be as concerned or more concerned about the impression that you are making on your children as you would be your best friends or someone that you are thinking about getting a job from.

Not at all - if you are setting a good example and doing your best for your children you have nothing to worry about. You can only do your best and as long as you teach your children good values that is all that matters.

If I ever had children (snort) (titter), I would advise them not to make the mistake I did by having children. That doesn't sound like a good impression, does it?

Indubitably. I may not be the best father in the world but I had one theology that kept me as close to the straight and narrow as it could be. And that was... Asking myself... What Jesus would do in this situation. The answers usually was rather easy to come to and simple in its solutions.
