u print them out onto a sticker sheet (get them newhere), then theres a plastic device that is round like a cd with a short, small pole-like thing in the middle. the put the sticker onto the plastic piece 1st (face down), then put the dvd on top of it and push down on the little pole-like hting. it presses the sticker on2 the dvd in a round, uniform fashion.
u can buy the thing for about 20/30 bux @ basically ne elctronic shop

There are two basic way of putting Label on the CD
1. By Printing by using Special CD/DVD Label Printer which cost about 7000 USD or
2. By Printing Label by Using normal printer with CD Sticker special Label Stickers found on stationers.

The label maker is software to design a rounded label to fit your CDs or DVDs. If the software is free as stated above, you will have to buy the labels and they are not cheap, but they do look nice and are fun to make.
I purchased software and the "label maker" which is a curved piece of plastic. You put the CD/DVD over a spindle on the curved plastic, slide the label down over the spindle, press, and affix. Just a little tricky trying not to get wrinkles.

There are kits that include the paper with the round cutouts, a tool to apply them and software to print them.
A fancier method is with a special printer that prints on dvd's that have a printing surface on them.

you need to have a lightscribe dvd burner and light scribe dvd's. or you can print the label and paste it on the cd
