What is this part called? I have a tapping noise when I start and after I shut down.?

The noise is coming from inside the cab and under the glove box by the heater. I have a 91 Chevy Silverado.

Blend door actuator is electricaly operated, not vaccum.

It's trying to open, or close and is ratcheting on the door arm.

Could be blower motor, or a vacuum can for the selector stuff thats run by vacuum.

Bad gas? Try a higher octane.
