once you're interior the marketplace for a huge reveal television -- and we are talking 40 two-inches and above -- then we'd advise plasma as a secure wager. Plasmas provide you greater bang on your greenback on the great end of city, and mutually as LCDs grants you greater powerful determination, the cost difference is presently too extensive. even though, if money's no longer an argument and you like the sharpest image on the city, then a huge liquid crystal reveal is for you. on the smaller end of issues (15" to 36" TVs), liquid crystal reveal is the sole thank you to bypass in case you like some thing slender and tasteful. And the final element is that LCDs have become greater value-effective continuously. ensure that's HDTV nicely matched

Yes, lcd tv's work fine as monitors. They are what is recommended over plasmas. The reason is because they have no burn-in and plasma does. Make sure you determine whether it has vga or dvi input & that your computer video card has the corresponding output, so they will be compatible...but even if they don't, there are adapters available which are inexpensive.

They are the same thing. As long as it had VGA input you'll be golden.
