How do I convert a music tune into phone ringtone?

I believe that the only way to create a ringtone from an MP3 tune is to download or buy a Ringtone Creater. If you go to www.download.com and type in ringtone creater you will find quiet a few, but I have never really trusted them, being that most of them will charge you for it.

However, I was in BestBuy and I found this software that allows you to cut and modify your MP3s to transfer to your phone.
