How has the smoking ban affected you Ohioians, in your choices of resturaunts you choose to go to? Do you no longer go to places you use to enjoy? Did you decide that stepping outside to smoke is ok for you? Thanks in advance!

Please tell me what resturaunts you have quit going to because of the ban, or which ones you have desided to start going to for those of you who do smoke.

I like smoking bans bc my hair and clothes don't get all gross when I go out. Also, it makes it a lot easier to eat out with kids. I only smoke when I'm out dancing and drinking with friends, so its not that big of a deal to me I guess.

However, I'm torn about whether this is an issue that should government regulated. It seems like since cigarettes are legal, bars should have the option. It hurts a lot of small local places.

I think that this law shouldn't even be legal. Many bars and bowling alleys are losing a lot of business because most customers in those places are smokers. The bad part is that most places are enforcing this law, when the law itself can't be enforced until May(?).This has really effected where I go. I just drive over to PA now, and I know a lot of people that are doing the same thing. In these places, it should be up to the owner whether or not to allow smoking. The way I see it, smokers and drinkers are sometimes the largest taxpayers, according to their income. They should have more rights than this, and I think the smoking ban is going to eventually lead to a segregation lawsuit in one of these states that has banned smoking.

No one in my family smokes, and I am thrilled with the smoking ban.
No more waiting for tables while a half-empty smoking section sits unused.
I suspect restaurants are pleasantly surprised to be able to fill all of their tables and not have to juggle two types of customers.
