When I was pregnant, my weight increased everyday, but for me it wasn't a good thing, I gained 20 pounds by the first trmester, I completely took to the eat for two, and it ended up biting me in the butt. It's not a big deal if the increase is slight, but if it's daily, you may want to be careful. A lot of weight gain during pregnancy can cause gestanional diabetes, which is what I had, and it was not fun. Depending on your size, they say 35-45 pounds is normal pregnancy weight gain, so chat with your doctor about how he thinks your doing and if you need to do more to watch your weight.

Congrats on being pregnant! I actually lost weight due to nausea and vomiting at first... but my cravings and ability to eat large meals has changed drastically. everyone is so different. Alot of weight gain in the beginning isnt always the greatest, just check with your doctor. If you are a small, thin person, your weight gain will be more apparent (in some cases) than those of average or over weight. Maybe weigh yourself a couple of times a week instead of daily. Your weight varies with bowel habits, last meal, water weight, etc.

From my experience you should only be gaining about 1-2lbs per week then after the half-way point you should gain 2-3 lbs every week. Be careful about what you eat and drink - sugar and salt are not good in excess.

My wife actually lost weight during the early stages of pregnancy, due to the chemical changes her body was going through.
Good luck to you though trying to conceive :)

Usually it shouldnt. Make sure you arent overeating or drinking too much. You may be retaining water too. A little is probably ok but dont put on too much and make sure you arent retaining a lot of fluids.
