The question is a bit loaded. Why not ask, "Why does Islam seek to rule the world by slowly becoming citizens in other countries, increasing their numbers through marriage and family immigration, and intentionally preventing their children and families from melding with the host nations and demanding the right to govern themselves outside the bounds of the law of those same host nations that allow them to become 'citizens'?"

On some scale, all societies try to expand their power and influence, in order to forward their own agendas and beliefs, and to bring prosperity to their societies, if not everyone in them. The founders of Democracy, the Greeks did it. Rome did it. The Huns did it. Britain, France and Spain did it, when they were world powers. Native American Tribes did it, on a smaller scale, since the world was not available Germany (Hitler) and Japan did it. Russia did it. The Americans did it in our country as well. Islam is trying to do it now.

I think it's a bit ridiculous to point the finger at any one group.

As far as I'm concerned, America is doing what it feels is necessary to protect itself and its citizens. It would be ridiculous not to, just as it would be ridiculous for the human body not to fight deadly bacteria because "all cells have a right to live".

Hate them if you wish. They're still the best thing going..

The premise of your question is false so there's not really an answer for you. But I'm sure someone will come up with something socialistic you'll like
