I have extremely itchy nipples and areola's. I just had a baby a month and a half ago and I have not had any signs that I'm going to start my period. My husband and I have not been using birth control only because we cannot afford it, we don't use condoms because the latex rubs me raw and I bleed. Could I be pregnant again? Someone told us that itchy nipples could be a sign of pregnancy. If not then what else could it be?

Okay, are you nursing the baby? Because if you are, you could have dry skin or a thrush (yeast) infection. If it's the latter, you need to get it treated, because you can pass that on to your baby's mouth. If it's just dry skin, try rubbing some pure lanolin on your nipples after nursing.

As far as the pregnancy goes, you could certainly be pregnant again, although it's normal for your periods to take a few months (or longer, if you're nursing) to start up after giving birth. Take a home pregnancy test. Have you looked in to visiting your local planned parenthood? They have very low-cost birth control options for people in financial straits. Another thing to try is polyurethane condoms (Avanti), which are helpful for people with latex sensitivity.

Maybe its just dry skin. Are you nursing? That can cause that too. Try using vitamin E oil on them it may help some. If you are nursing this is safe for the baby.
after childbirth it may take a few cycles before your period is back to normal.
And any time you have sex you run the risk of pregnancy. Even this soon after delivery

Vitamin E oil can be applied to the affected skin or a Vitamin E capsule can be broken and directly applied on the affected area.More cheap and natural remedies for itching at the link below.
