For our American friends black pudding is boiled pig's blood in a length of intestine. In the UK our puddings are usually bound with cereal with suet or cubes of fat added.
Why it's called PUDDING is beyond me.

not for dessert, I love black pudding. although 2003 was the last time I had it. doesn't taste the same in Canada.

i wouldn't have it for ma pudding but i love it wi ma breakfast or on a roll gid stuff black pudding

No and the red stuff coming out of it is not strawberry sauce before you ask. Its BLOOD! yuk!

absolutely not! it can be had for any meal including a fried breakfast, but as it is meat based (offal) it isnt suitable for dessert. (personally I wouldn't eat it any time - yuk!)
