I don't go to Starbuck's anymore, because the manager lied to me and told me they were going to start serving huge jalapeno poppers. He knew that jalapeno poppers are my absolute favorite guilty junk food, and said the Starbucks ones were going to be the size of a closed fist.
My mouth watered just thinking about it, and I was there on the day he said they'd start.
"Hey Bill, just sit down and I'll bring it to you...you'll love this," he told me.
Ceremoniously, he came out with a tray...a large brown object sat on the plate. He walked toward me and tripped. The food flew off the plate, hit the floor and rolled toward me. I grabbed at it even though I knew it wasn't edible anymore due to the three second rule.
I took a look at the food, then at the manager, and walked out. I will NEVER go back.
My popper was a rolling scone.
