a fool? Which is why he wants to keep US military operations (the war) going in Iraq (& maybe Iran) until he leaves office so that he & conservative war hawks won't look like total idiots who sent over 3,000 US troops to their deaths, permanently maimed over 20,000 & wasted over $350 billion?

You hit the nail on the head. THERE WERE NO WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION! The argument should end there. And could everyone stop ragging on the Senators who initially voted yes for the Iraq invasion. They were lied to just like the American public. When the voted they believed that they were protecting Americans, not realizing that they were deceived. So instead of saving American lives they sent thousands of soldiers to slaughter. I commend the Congressman who are saying "Listen I made a mistake". I find it amazing that some people are still standing behind the President. And his new comments about Iran could not be more ridiculous. We have NO proof the the Iranian government is providing weapons to the insurgents. Is it possible, sure! Should we run around accusing Iran and risking another war? NO! What happened to the democratic process of getting proof then convicting?

In a war people die and get maimed. Unless you think we can get them to settle it on the football field then causualties are going to happen.
BTW Diplomacy was tried for several years before the war. The war happened because Hussien would not cooperate with UN inspectors. If this isn't good enough for you then tell me how many UN resolutions we were supposed to let him get away with breaking??
The truth is that in that part of the world Clintons policies led to the belief that Americans lack the will to attack.
I would prefer to have things solved through discussion myself but when talks break down. Then sometimes voilence is the only way. The real problem is the pacifists (cowards) that lack moral courage to do what is right.
