Maybe you could start a diet and exercise program TOGETHER...do it as a couple and see if her self esteem improves as she starts to drop some weight. Just always let her know she is beautiful and you love her. Period. Never criticize or be critical of her weight.

It's hard when you have a low self esteem to believe anything anyone is saying to you. I have the same issue. No matter what you say or how often you say it, she will not believe you until she believes it herself. Maybe suggest that she sees a nutritionist so they can tell her whether or not she is at a "normal" weight, or else she could see a counselor in order to have someone, besides you, to talk to about whatever is bothering her. Sometimes its nice to have someone to talk to that you are not really close with. I think these things will really help.

Actions speak louder than words my dear. Offer to go walking with her to exercise or join a gym with her, even if you don't need the exercise you can do it with her, for her. Not only will this maybe motivate her to do something about her weight, but she won't feel alone while doing it. You aren't only her husband and lover, you are her best friend and support system. Good luck to you both!

Tell her to stop complaining and to do something about it. Maybe pay for a yoga class, something to rebuild her self-esteem. You are being a good husband in telling her how sexy she is to you. Please don't give up on her, hold her close and look into her eyes and tell her how lucky you are to have her. Little things like that make such a big impression. Keep up the love.

Tell her you think she is beautiful but if she is not happy with how she looks than she is the only one who can change it. Let her know that her constant put downs are bothering you. Most women know this. My fiance hates it when I do it and tells me. I dont get mad.

Women are constantly complaining...it's in our nature. No matter what you tell her it won't get her to see herself any different. Instead ask her what she would like to do about it and make it your business to help her. Good luck!

you can just constantly reassure her that she is beautiful, but I think she should go see someone (Dr.). There might be more underlining subjects that she needs to mull through. the worst thing you could do is fall out of love with her.
