have u been at the library lately books in the kids and teen department are risky as well as some shows are alittle risky but i say turn off the tv the internet cable and play board games with your kids or heres another idea hang out with your kids u dont need the garbage of cable manga or movies to entertain kids but some cartoons are clean for kids like veggietales carebears for teens like prince of tennis or camp lazlo its up to parents what there kids should watch.

Some cartoons are but I dont think there is anything wrong with Sponge Bob or Danny Phantom. Sponge Bob is a cute show (kinda) and my sisters watch it. Besides his rear end is a spnge anyways. Danny Phantom, I don't think there is anything wrong with ghosts Demons or fighting. (I love demons, ghosts are cool and fighting is awsome (well....most of the time). I have never seen Original Cinderella so I can't say anything about it. and its the persons choice if he/she wants to watch......:=]

@Techi~Chick: The Simpsons is not ment for kids, it's an adult cartoon. if kids watch it, that is their parents choice.

There is other things in them too a lot of cartoons for kids have Adult humor and references.

Spongebob
Fairly Odd Parents
The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy

Those have adult humor and references.

I think The Grim Adventures is worse for kids than Danny Phantom. When it comes to demons, ghosts and fighting.

I love The Grim Adventures though,but I'm 19 so I am old enough! ^.^

The original Cinderella was a story really called Ashenputel by the Brother Grimm..a lot of stores by the Bothers Grimm was turned into kid friendly stories and cartoons.

Originally, cartoons weren't meant for children to begin with.

Check out the history of cartoons and you'll find out for yourself that they were initially intended to entertain the masses that went to the movies way back in the day when there was no television.

If anything, you could say that the trend that you see in cartoons is just them going back to their roots.

Nothing wrong with the cartoons at all.

Parents just need to police what their children watch a little more and take an active role in their children's' upbringing instead of plopping them in front of a TV and going, "Here, watch this." just to get the poor child out of their hair for a while.

spongebob is appropiate for kids and so is danny phantom
i havent seen the original cinderella so i dont know
i agree that some cartoon are not appropiate for children
for example the simpsons can use explicit language sometimes
but i think it all comes down to parents and what they let their children watch

Depends on the kids age. Only the parent can make that call.
