Area is equal to pi (3.14) * radius (2.8cm) squared
so:
3.14 * 2.8cm^2 = Area
3.14 * 7.84 cm^2
24.62 m^2 is the area of the circle

Just do...
2.8 x 2 =.... (Radius x 2 = diameter)
2.8 x 3.14=...(3.14 equal equals the pi, which is what you need to do to find the area)
To find the diameter from the radius, just double it.
To find the area, just times the diameter by 3.14
3.14 is to be exact, you can x it by 3, but depends on what level of work you're doing.

Area of circle is pi*r*r
pi= 3.14 or 22/7
r = radius of circle
so area of circle = 24.6

Area of a circle = Ï x r² = 3.142 x 2.8 x 2.8
(I've rounded off Ï to 3 decimal places.
= 24.633 cm²
