My friend and I study for math homeworks together. Whenever I'm confused with something, she also confuse with that same thing. We learned the same materials. We even got almost similar answers. The teacher gave her 92% in her exam and he gave me 61% which means failing.

If I tell the teacher to compare our answers, what if he says, that he made a mistake by giving my friend 92 and what if he drops her grade too?

If this means you failed, you must ask for the remarking. It's always unfair at school, most teachers have their own preference and they are subjective. But do not think other teachers are better, I am fine with the unfairness, it prepares me for the real world.

I think you should check it with your friend and see which grade is the one that could represent the homework better. Are the answers good and sufficient for a 92% or do they need more so they should be lower. If you feel that it is not fair, you should take the homework to the teacher. Maybe you have good at his class and not writing a good exam as he expected. Moreover, your friend could just be presenting the answers in a better way, even if you get to the same result...

You can also give it to someone else for proof reading (another teacher, a better student that is friend of yours) and ask him what he thinks... If you feel that a grade is not what should have been, go to the teacher and tell him. Remember to be polite, to know that it might just be a mistake (after all, everyone makes mistakes) and don't, under any circumstances, assume bad faith.

I am also a teacher by profession from last 10+ years. I think you have made a mistake in understanding your teacher. You must not think like that unless there is a solid reason behind it.

While revising or practicing, if you and your friend are confused in the same problem doesn't mean that even in exams, it would be the same case. May be in the exams, the questions that came were easy for your friend or he/she attempted it in a far better way than you.

You politely request your teacher to show you the papers and then compare for yourself. I am sure you will be proved wrong!!!
Then try to get rid of your weaknesses by being frank and open with your teacher. All the Best!!

I think you should have the teacher to compare your answers because even though her grade might drop to 61%, there's also a chance that he might raise your grade to 92%!!!!!!!!!!

because the answer isn't as important as how you got there

you could have all the answers but without showing how you got them it's meaningless

that's why your friend did better

Deal with it. one test can't make you fail your whole class, just study harder for the next one.

i would confront your teacher, but make sure he doesn't change your friend's grade. he shouldn't change it because it was his grading error.
