Yep, I'm one of those Mom's that wants to get the next holiday done right after the previous one (Heart's Day). Does anyone have any good gift ideas for a 19 month old. She's delayed though and is around 12 months developmentally. She doesn't need anymore toys! So far I have a Pooh Easter board book, some bubbles, and a little chick that chirps. Any other ideas? She doesn't quite grasp the concept of coloring so coloring books and sidewalk chalk are out. Thanks for your thoughts!

Serious answers only please!!

Babies and toddlers are so much fun at Easter. Will you take her to a community Easter Egg hunt? You can gather the eggs for her/with her...
My daughter's favorite stuffed animal is a realistic looking bunny rabbit. not a big goofy one with huge eyes and purple ears...it's soft and white and looks just like a real bunny.
Another fun easter tradition around here is flying kites. Even though she coudn't fly it herself, your daughter might enjoy being outside and seeing it go high up in the air!

If her physical development/coordination is delayed, then I'd suggest asking her PT (should ought to have one, in such a case) to suggest the appropriate equipment that looks like a toy. Or, even at 12 months development, books are always a great idea. Read them to her, and encourage her to play with them. No matter what, most of her gifts at this point should be colourful, stimulating, and encouraging of her development, but still be or act as though they are toys.

In addition to what you've already purchased, buy some baby foods geared to Easter themes: lamb, ham, carrots, egg, plus something sweet like baby pudding. You might also get her baby grape juice and Zweiback toast--a bread and wine theme. I recommend, since Easter celebrates Jesus' resurrection, that you also get her a board book or baby book about the first Easter, and/or a video about the life of Jesus.

There's also a good board book about Passover, the Jewish holiday which corresponds to Easter. I believe that Jesus' Last Supper was a Passover Seder, and he is our "Paschal (that is, Passover) Lamb".

Happy Easter to you and your family!

Bubbles are great! Also, anything else for "outside" play, like balls or maybe a little slide? Easter usually marks the beginning of warm weather, depending on where you live, so anything to get you both out of the house!

Stuffed animals are the best thing. They are soft, warm, and comforting. Same with fuzzy blankets. I had a yellow and pink blanket when I was born named LuLu and I wouldn't go anywhere without it until I was 4. And as Emily said, candy and food are always good ideas. Congratulations and good luck with your daughter!

get her lots of candy!!! I always liked candy. Although you said she already has a lot of toys, stuffed bunnies are also a good idea.
