I have an external soundcard because the soundcard on my laptop stopped working. it plugs into the usb port, and then you plug all speakers, headphones etc into the soundcard itself. it is made by trust and i bought it from amazon, and is very easy for anyone with limited knowledge to what goes on inside a computer.
