First of all its Trend Micro.

1) Symantec Norton -
*Good* It has a decent scanner with daily updates.
*Bad* It slows your computer to a crawl, gets worse every year.
2) McAfee
*Good* Decent scanner, daily updates, its virus scanning
engine includes an antispyware engine.
*Bad* Slows your computer, usually finds but cant delete virus.
3) Trend Micro-
*Good* - Very good scanner with high detection rate, frequent updates.
*Bad* Program can be buggy. Antispyware sometimes wont work.

Overall

Symantec - 3/5
McAfee - 3.5/5
Trend Micro - 4/5

I would personally recommend Kaspersky from www.kaspersky.com . Its scanning engine has a 99.57% detection rate.

My friend of all these I dont vote for anything.
I think NOD32 is a good antivirus software which protects from much of viruses and threats.
