I write lyrics and I am a very good singer, but its just that I need to put it into music, but I can only play the viola.

That's a tough one. I know of many in bands, who make music lines and melodies without instruments. You can practically do anything if you're inspired. But if its too hard, you can just ask someone to learn you a few chords on the piano. It's easy.

You need to be able to learn the music scale before writing music. The lyrics are secondary, it is the tune that is written on the music scale.

Just write the words. Later when you get a piano write the music.

u don't need to know how to play a guitar or piano. as long as the lyrics are good, i think you're . though i think it would help....
