ADRIAN PETERSON
What this pick will come down to and what the Browns need to ask themselves is has young quarterback Charlie Frye shown them enough to justify passing on one of the elite signal callers that should be available here. That question might not be answered until Draft Day but for the time being they opt for the instant help in the form of Adrian Peterson, who will be a major upgrade to their ground game. There is little doubt that Peterson is one of the premier talents in this draft, regardless of position, but because of his well-documented durability problems he could easily drop a bit. However, Cleveland is looking to replace Reuben Droughns and this guy has a chance to be one of the best running backs in the league if he can stay healthy so they roll the dice. JaMarcus Russell and Brady Quinn will draw serious consideration at this point as well and Alan Branch could be the impact defensive linemen they need but with both the front office and coaching staffs on the hot seat they look short-term and ultimately opt for the guy who will make them a better team right away. This may very well be the definition of a boom or bust pick.

Joe Thomas or Adrian Peterson would be a good choice. I'd personally take Joe Thomas because the offensive line is really important. Going with a top defensive player wouldnt' hurt either. Brady Quinn would be a bad idea. He's really overrated. They can probably get Troy Smith, if they want him, at the beginning of the second round. I don't see Troy Smith being a first rounder. Troy Smith is a talented quarterback and I have no idea how he'll do in the NFL, but after his bad performance in the national title game and his lack of height he will not be a first round draft pick.

The browns have plenty of options to go with despite who pick who before them, I don't think there is any position that they are really solid in so they will be able to pick the most talented player available
Which will be Joe Thomas, Brady Quinn, Calvin Johnson or Adrian Peterson
I think they should pick Peterson he would give there O more balance
If they want smith they definitely will have a chance to grab him in the second round, but smith just wants to play for his hometown I think he would have a more successful career somewhere else

The Browns can probably get Troy Smith in the 2nd round and their main concern is the O-Line and D-Line. LeCharles Bentley is out another year so looking for a center and left tackle is a must. In today's league its a must to have a good defense and front seven. With Wimbely's sucsess, geting Paul Poulanzy is a good choice for another OLB. But, in the first round the Browns should take Allan Branch (6'6" 330-Lbs.) Ted Washington is getting old and Branch is going to provide other Brown's players to rise and this guy is for-real. Romeo Cernell has also expressed intrest in him so the Browns should take him.

Browns should draft either Thomas or Peterson. Which ever the Lions don't pick. And do not trade with the Lions to move up this time.

I think the Browns have two pretty good QB's in Frye and Anderson they need to improve their running game (Peterson) and the the o-line (Thomas) before they can see what Charlie can do. If Smith is still around in the second round then they should take him

If the Oakland Raiders have their draft decision in the past Arizona then i think of they cant bypass up Manning who's the enjoying cards first option to be their destiny qb. it is likewise achievable to take yet another qb like massive ben or J.P. right here yet they arent as inspired with them as they are with eli

russell and thomas will be the first two picks, so they won't be there...i would take peterson because he's a game changer and he will greatly improve the RB situation there...branch is a close second, and forget the QBs cuz cleveland doesn't really need them

The browns need help, a QB, a WR, or anyone on defense would be a huge help
my suggestion is to take the best QB available, maybe Zabranski if still there (Zabranski was the QB for Boise State when they performed the best Statue play anyone has seen in years)
