well....i have a modem and a new router for wirless connection....we have a main pc (this one) and a laptop which we want wireless for...the router and the modem are fixed up together and we got a cd to install it too but when we try to search for the laptop so it can go wireless the main pc isnt finding it so i dont know what to do... what do i do when everythings installed? all i have to do now is connect to the laptop and go wirless?!?!? what do i do?

well its my sisters laptop and she says it has wireless capability...

Yah basicly what they said. You need to esablish a new connection. Goto, Start/Connect To/ Show All Connections / Create a new connection.

You need to make sure the laptop has a built in wireless connection or failing that install a usb wireless hub into it. You dont search from your main pc to find the laptop to make it wireless. You have to run "wireless network setup wizard" in your "my network place". You need the SSID from the router and any encryption security setting you have setup. I am presuming you have broadband and you have the modem connected to the internet port on the router by ethernet cable and then ethernet cable back to your pc using one of the other available ports.

Does your laptop have wireless capability? When you power it on, it should give you a message that it recognizes a network and would you like to logon.
