If I had had a chance to choose where to go on a Summer holiday between this two, I would have chosen the second one.

Although I am Greek and I know that Greek islands and Greek mainland have a lot to offer(hundreds of choices to make, amazing beaches , breathtaking sunsets , nice smily people , relatively to Spain lower prices , "family vacations" in some and "wild partying" in others), I must agree with ErAs:you must give your self the chance to visit all Meditterenean countries in order to have an opinion for all of them.

Definetly Greece, especially if this is your first time in Europe! Greece is the birthplace of Western Civilization amongst many other notable and quite important advances (philosophy, democracy, etc...) Everywhere you turn in Greece you tend to see some sort of Ancient ruin, or artifact or museum of some sort. Even if your not there for an educational vacation/experience, let it be known that Greece has the largest coastline in Europe (except for Norwegian Glacier coastlines) so that translates to plenty of beaches, popular and off the private beaten path beaches. Plenty of sun! Greece also has over 300 islands, each offering their own distinct beauty and culture! You will never run out of things to do or places to see.

Spain, France, Romania and Catalonia and Italy all communicate Italic languages (Latin is Italic language too). they're frequently in Southern Europe, or South western Europe yet as an occasion Romania is south-eastern Europe. Greece isn't italic u . s . a ., they communicate different language and characteristic their own writing style. Greece is south-eastern europe, purely like Romania. Europeans are so blended with one yet another that the nearer to physique, the greater comparable they look.

All Mediterrenan countries are good to have a summer holiday; Spain, Italy, Greece or Turkey. I think u should create to have more chances and visit all of them...
