I have Windows XP Home Edition and is part of a Domain, but when I try to locate a network printer, or a printer attached to another computer, I can't. What am I missing please? I can't move in order to browse through the network for possible printers. What can I do ... or how is this done?

Click START. Click SETTINGS. Select PRINTERS & FAXES. The printers that are available to you will be displayed. Click the one you want. If you want to use that printer all the time, right-click it and choose SET AS DEFAULT.

XP home edition has limited networking features. Two suggestions would be for a computer shared printer go to start, run. In the run line type \\(computer name). The explorer window should have a printers folder. Double click that and then double click shared printer. Should setup the printer on your pc. For ip'ed printers start the add printer wizard but go to local printer then next. There should be an option for create a new port, select standard tcp/ip in the drop down box. It will bring up a wizard asking for the ip address, use the address of the networked printer. After completing the wizard it will take you back to the add printer wizard. Which will allow you to choose name and printer driver as you normally would.

First of all, you need the name of the network that you are on. Second, it might be easier for you to add the printer through Command Prompt. There are a number of tutorials offered online that tell you how to do this. Try that.

Home edition usually doesn't support file and printer sharing... only internet connection sharing (ICS)...
try upgrading to Home Edition Service Pack2 (im not sure if it will work) but if you want, try using XP professional edition (this will surely work)...
