Without kidneys it is impossible to survive for long. Hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis can be substitute for a limited period and both are cumbersome and painful ways to purify the blood.
With one kidney one can survive, but without both the kidneys, the problems become so compounded and the patient has such a painful time that it is better to die than to live with innumerable complications like oedema, nausea, loss of appetite, sodium-potassium imbalance, mood swings, uraemia, etc.

Assuming that the human in question is in relatively good health, about a month. Naturally, any food in the stomach will be consumed first. Then, if you start running on empty for more than a few minutes, your brain will release a chemical that essentially makes your body more efficient with the energy it uses. If you still haven't found food for some time, the body will take energy from your fat deposits in order to compensate. After several days with no food, you will become very sluggish, and have almost no will to move. This is because the brain will release yet another chemical that naturally inclines you not to move unless it is absolutely necessary, as moving requires the use of energy. After a prolonged time with no food, you will be virtually immobile. This is because your body is using a last- ditch tactic to stay alive. It starts absorbing energy from your muscles to keep the brain working. However, your time now is very limited, as muscle doesn't hold nearly as much nutrients as fat cells. Once half of the energy stored in your muscles is gone, the game is up, and you're dead. The body cannot sustain itself beyond this point.

Yes, but it is not very fun.
You can survive for a while with no kidneys on dialysis, but the goal is usually to get such a person a transplant ASAP.
