I guess the answer you're after might be 38,699 though you should make the question clearer. What are the ends of a can?
So.. if you do not need to find out the height then the "length" must be the length of the metal strip, which is bent into a cylindrical shape and represents the body of the can. And the length of this strip is the same as the circumference of the round bit it is wrapped around, + 1 cm, so
length = diameter * pi + 1 = 12 * pi + 1 = 38,699 cm.

This is impossible to answer as you have not given any relationship between diameter and length.
