Can't say I've ever heard of marmite being used and it must stink to high heaven lol! I have however heard of soaking yourself in tea bags and it works - ideal for a tight @rse lol!! It's trick I picked up in theatre circles. Actors sit in a bath of tea bags and the tanin stains your skin brown.

Uurgh yuk you would really smell funny if you did that!!! but you could lick away if you got hungry!!
Its dark enough to colour ya skin but it would look awful hehe...
I find its best to use a fake tan like fake bake its brill that stuff!!! Or for the face use a bronzer compact and a large brush.
