The Republicans didn't block the debate, they voted to have a debate. Reid did not allow the Republicans to change the wording of the resolution so he didn't get bi-partisan support for it.

The Democrats will not get partisan legislation through the Senate. Reid knew this which is why he called the vote; he knew the resolution would fail as written. Reid is the ultimate hypocrite.

Its a political game and the mainstream media is feeding it to the masses like so much pablum.

They blocked the debate and had a open vote. Which means that What they vote won't go onto record but they can still gain authority over laws and action. So... with that said. They are trying to DE FUND the war without getting there hands dirty..while making it look like GWB's fault. So when we, the people, come and back lash at them. They can say that they didn't do it. It's a political scam that people are not aware of to make 1 person take all the heat for there actions. I bet I'll get a lot of thumbs down on this one cause not to many people realize this and will think I'm stupid. But that's there opinion.

Perhaps they just were tired of hearing the Liberals whine. There is no War in Iraq! The War ended with the death of Sadaam! Currently there is an army of occupation in Iraq trying to help stabilize the aftermath and give this country a chance to become self governing.

They didn't. Voting to block cloture does not end debate, voting FOR cloture ends debate and sends it to a vote. Additionally, the Republicans wanted two other resolutions up for debate along with the one that was on the floor this week. When did debating several resolutions become blocking debate? It was the Dems that blocked debate by refusing to allow anything but their own resolution to be debated. It was the Dems that restricted it and called for cloture. Sady the MSM knows that the majority of citizens have no idea how the Congress works and reported it that way. Look up the word cloture - it means end debate. The Democrats voted FOR cloture not the Republicans.

Get off your pulpit. it relatively is meant to be a question/answer communicate board, no longer one on your preaching. This American might choose for to confirm the Congress carry out a little artwork, which could be lots much less annoying in the event that they hung out debating and vote casting on issues that are of their administration particularly of sending "non-binding resolutions" that are the equivalent of pouting to the Commander in chief. Why do no longer they conflict passing some expenses without lots sneaky issues attatched to them? Then in line with danger issues ought to easily bypass up for a vote and the Congress might run effectively. or in line with danger in the event that they stopped vote casting themselves pay will enhance (whilst the overwhelming majority do no longer even rely on their earning as Congressmen and Senators as ordinary income) and tried to get some artwork achieved, THEN i could be happy and proud. What a loaded "question"...

You just don't quit do you? One stupid backwards question after another. The libs blocked the debate by no allowing all things to be in the debate.

Next time you think something...............................think the opposite. That will head you in the right direction.

Why don't the members of Congress vote yes or no on winning the war so we know who to vote out of office next time?

Pretty much the same reason the Democrat minority blocked everything they could before the mid-term elections, but the Democrats used the filibuster process liberally, which the Republicans have not done.
