I work as a dietary aide in a nursing home and got the stomach flu friday morning (my day off). Saturday they sent me home. Today is Sunday and I felt so weak I had to call off. I just started this job and love it. They know I was actually sick from seeing me yesterday but I don't want them thinking less of me. Is there anything I can do that would help my mind feel at ease with my coworkers and employer?

If they send you home, they knew you're sick. Feeling guilty is a sign that you're a conscientious employee. When you go in tomorrow just tell them you were really sorry and felt guilty about staying home. They'll appreciate that and it makes you feel better.
Going to an old age home with a stomach flu which is usually contagious would not be good in the first place. You can start an epidemic.

Just don't call off again for a year after you get back from this. they'll soon learn to trust you. Sometimes just starting a new job is enough stress to weaken you enough to get sick like this. They have probably seen it happen before.

Show back up with a smile on your face! They would not want you working with a sickness that you could easily spread to the already weakened patients.

Perhaps you could offer to pick up an extra shift to make up for time lost (or find out who covered for you and make the offer to them)!

Just get a doctor's note to document the legitimacy of your illness and clearing you to return to work.
