Repair - If you select this option your antivirus software will try to remove the virus from the file.
Quarantine - Your antivirus will move the infected file to a part of the hard disk where it cannot do any damage or be accessed.
I personally usually try to repair the file, and then if that fails, quarantine it.

You should attempt to repair the file because it may be an important system one. If it fails, then quarantine the file and then remove whenever you want. Once quarantined, it cannot effect the computer anymore.

Quarantine it; if the file can't be quarantined, then attempt a repair and keep your fingers crossed. Personally I clutch a teddy bear for comfort but I'm just weird like that.

Quarantine it. It's actually best to delete the file, but it seems you have Norton or McAfee, which do not give this choice upon detection.
To delete quarantined items, you have to open the Quarantine from within the program.
