I put this question in the same category as "Why do democrats hate America?" File under Total BS.
Republicans don't want to destroy the world, just as Democrats don't hate America or want the terrorists to win. Both parties, at least the normative position, want the USA to do well. They just come to different conclusions on the best way to achieve the goals of a better society in USA and the world.
We solve problems rationally, not with a bunch mudslinging. In order to help your party, try asking about specific policy or issue. If politicians were more respectful, instead of divisive, perhaps they would make more progress in Washington. And we average folk would be less cynical about Washington, and vote more often, and express our opinions to our representatives.
