I'm almost 15, and I want to try to get a job this summer for the first time. I just don't know where I should start to figure out what job I should apply for. Do I wait for someone to announce that they're hiring or do I just send in an application??? I've never done this before, and I just don't know where to start.

Just go around to places that you think you might be interested in working and ask to see the manager. Tell him or her you would like to work there and ask if they are hiring. Go to places where you think you would enjoy working though. Don't just go to micky d's or bk.

Depending on what kind of education you are getting can help in determining the kind of work you seek. For example; learning about business, apply for a clerical office job; learning to be whatever apply for the job that fits your education. If that doesn't work out there are always plenty of outdoor work. such as landscaping, homemakers, etc.
