You don't much to divorce a spouse in the USA, but withholding of marital affection is time honored as a reason...even back in the days when divorces weren't so easy to come by.

You can divorce for whatever reason it is that's making you unhappy in a marriage...Not sure if the judge would say "lack of sex" is a good reason to divorce, he may suggest you go to a counsellor / therapist...but YES you can legally divorce your spouse if you choose to as he's not making you happy anymore and sex is important to you in a relationship*GOODLUCK
ps> talk to your husband and ask why he doesn't like to have sex with you, find out what he has to say * He may not even realize that this is very important to you...or he may be cheating so is too tired to have sex with you* Who Knows until you talk with him.

I think you can divorce for any reason these days. Thats why the rate is so high. A break down in the sexual relationship in a marriage leads to a breakdown of alot more in the relationship. Its addressing and fixing the problems in a marriage that couples have difficulty with. We just don't have the skills. We all need our own personal Dr Phil living with us. Damn Dr Phil

Your friend needs to grow up a little. Take steps to improve her desires. Look into what may be causing the lack. If he doesn't - he could run into the same problem with every girl, it could be him. She could have problems. They need to seek counseling before divorcing. Or at least sit down and talk about it and make steps to change it.

This can only be done if the female is the plaintiff. If the male is the plaintiff, the court will simply say you are in the normal and average marriage. LOL.
You could simply check online for withholding of affections and so forth, in MICH law.

Michigan is a no fault state. You don't have to have a reason for divorcing.

I don't believe I ever read that in my wedding vows. I lived in Michigan for almost eight years and went through periods during my wife's cancer treatment that sex wasn't an option and a physical impossibility. Unless you want to make it a personalized part of your wedding vows - don't count on it.

Is the lack of sex only in Michigan, or is it in other states as well?
