I mean the metaphor that the machines symbolise the power behind the dream-world we live in, the collective mind-trap.
They both (movies) suggest you free your mind from the status quo, the fake world.
I find this so important a subject considering the amount of waste of creative energy that takes place in our brain-washing society where there's so much pressure to conform and be "normal". So many lies and fear. Every child who grasps this the slightest could tell you coming here is waste of time.
And such an unnecessary waste of time is so painful.

Henryred, u're right, but Norton also says 'after fighting, nothing was solved, but nothing mattered. We all felt saved...'
It IS a mans film, I'll give you that.

yes its about people being enslaved within their minds for the media, its also about how it controls you and how we are all stuck in it(pretty, rich guys, famous balls-its all state of mind).try also reading a book-it explains everything more widely than the movie. both matrix and fc about slavery for the media-illustrates its all an illusion though fc is more about individual persons life(in fc a guy gets tired of being a dogsbody hardworker and his mind sets him free by creating his total oppossite-everything he would want to be)

I see some similarity, but fight club had moments when it annoyed me. The battle to take man back to a time less fashion and greed oriented. Not conforming to the fads put in place by the mindless masses....staring two way over paid actors...the movie followers conforming to make it a fad to mock fight clubs...etc....

The dark Knight!!! because of the fact in my opinion, i think of The combat club itself script isn't that as delicate because of the fact the dark Knight... while they attempt to place any expenses which prefer the action picture to be memorable, its kinda no longer that delicate because it sound.. (do no longer you think of?) that's barely what i do unlike approximately combat club.. nevertheless i admire The dark Knight greater because of the fact.. nicely i'm a huge fan of Christopher Nolan, and the action picture itself is particularly lots greater valuable.. greater relaxing in in some way. that is no longer too bloody like the combat club.. the two grownup and youngsters would be enjoyed to boot... and the screenplay is easily sturdy :) BQ: Christian Bale BBQ: One Flew Over A Cuckoo's nest (the action picture had lower back performing ever! different than the foremost actor one) BQ3: Inception

Does any of it really matter? If you live a life of illusion (delusion) or enlightenment, in 60 years or so, you are still dead. What's the difference? What if all humans were still living in tribes? Would life have less meaning or more?
The answer is neither.

Fight Club was about this sorta mousy pushed around guy ( Edward Norton ), who looses his mind and creates this alter ego of sorts ( Brad Pitt ).It is sort of this split personality scenario.
I LOVE FIGHT CLUB!!!

All I understand is that it was a movie with Brad Pitt & Edward Norton. To me, it was a simple reference to man and machine. And also to me, "Snatch" was better. (The scene where Pitt clocks the big guy, and they freeze frame. My jaw hurt, man!)
