Ever since George Orwell (pseudonym of Eric Blair) wrote the novel, 1984, the term "Orwellian" has been a term to describe "big brother" government as seen in a totalitarian society. Many, including me, believe his satired state has come to be realized (with so many people willing to believe anything our government says and also so many people willing to give up freedom and liberty for perceived safety, and our government's invasion of every realm of our privacy).

I was pondering this question: If George Orwell never wrote 1984, what word would be used to describe this state?

We as a society would be even more in the dark if it hadn't been written. I think if it wasnt written we could describe the state we are all in as nazi germany. Look closely the and you will see erie similarities.

Life, honey, just Life.
Power-hunger will create this kind of state.
And then there will be rebellion, and then the tides will turn.
Life, honey, just life.
