Sex is not sick, or weird, or disgusting. It is a normal, healthy part of being a human. While I don't think indiscriminate sex or sex with multiple partners is safe or healthy (physically or mentally), a healthy sex life as part of a monogamous, long term relationship adds a layer of happiness and closeness to your life that you can't get any other way.
I would strongly suggest that you see a counsellor about your views regarding sex. While I respect and applaud your decision to remain a virgin (I also chose to remain a virgin until meeting my husband), it is not healthy to think of such a natural act as 'sick', 'weird', and 'disgusting'.
Good luck.

Oh no!! NOT ALL PREGNANT WOMEN have more sex.. I am definite proof of that. I can count on one hand how much sex I have had since I have become pregnant and I am 31 wks along and 33 yrs old. I am very proud that you are a Virgin!! That is Awesome!!!! But please do not stereotype everyone because you are a virgin! I have been with my husband for 16 yrs next month and we have been married for little over 10 yrs. We have loved each other since we met and when you find the "RIGHT" person you will understand the real meaning of sex and what makes it feel good and why it is not disgusting. There are people out there that use sex and even some that are addicted to it in many sick ways. But it can be beautiful and meaningful with the right person and I know that it is like that when my husband. I really think you are truely awesome to still be a virgin! Congratulations!

It's not sick or wierd or disguisting. If you are 19 as you say that you are (even though you are a virgin) you should at least understand about sex. You would have to know that it feels fantastic for both male and female- obviously you have never masturbated-WOW- I find that very strange otherwise you would know that it is a great way to understand your sexuality and get to explore your body. When I had sex at a younger age it wasn't any good but now (21) it's fantastic, so it is good that you have waited, more people seem to be doing that now but one day you will learn how bad it is first of all and then how great it gets :)

I myself dont like to have sex alllll the time. A lot of people love having sex cause it makes them feel good and makes them feel better about themselfs. A lot of people abuse it like raping or doing something they shouldnt. But im proud that you are a virgin! Thats uncommon to hear a 19 year old but yea im proud i hope you make the right choices in you're life and well you're starting off good already!

Good for you! You stick to your guns.
Now, having said that....the human body was made for procreation, and sex is an instinct that insures the survival of the species. Physically, we are ready to become adults at the age of 13 or 14....and in the past, we could take on adult responsibilities at that age. However today, socially, we probably aren't ready to take on adult responsiblities until we are well into our 20's, or even 30's.
(Adult responsibilities means the ability to care for yourself and at least one other person).
So, unfortunately, our instincts have simply not caught up with modern society. And the fact that young people are still acting out in such a manner before they are socially able to be adults is just another clue that they are UNABLE to be an adult socially.
Stick to your guns. Keeping waiting until you are ready to take care of another person. Then your future children will be better off than those of girls around you.

You know something it is good that you are a virgin really wonderful. One thing is wrong though your criticizing, people that love sex and you have never had it. So your really out of your depth when you talk about they are sick.
Now maind you some people do go a lot over board when it comes to sex but that is just because they need to learn self control.
Once you get married have sex you will understand why sex is so hard to resist.
Stay a virgin until your married but don't wait to long because you really will regrit it trust me when I tell you this waiting is fine, just don't wait to long.
Thums up to you good job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Theres nothing wrong with being a virgin, and I commend you, theres nothing better than saving yourself for your husband. I waited until I was 20 and married and it was well worth it.
That said, you're judging people about something that you have absolutely no experience in. There are better things than sex... None that I can think of right now.
Some people just get out of control, and that is a problem. But its healthy and normal to want to have sex. Its part of being human.

No one here seems to have mentioned puberty. Thats the reason. Teenagers like to experiment.
