depending on the providers available,,, but i would not go with Knology. I would also say for steady performance i would go with a dsl provider, but for overall speed but with fluctuations during busy times go with cable... I would also avoid providers who give you phone/TV/Internet unless its AT&T.

YOU may want to check
http://www.dslreports.com
and look for providers in your area

Good luck

RoadRunner, hands down.

I had Verizon for years and the service was horrible. First because they sold us broadband that was never going to work properly because we're out of range; then becuase they lied repeatedly and told us they don't send people out to check lines. When I called to cancel, the sales clerk admitted these things and offered to fix them but it was too late. I can't be having one foot out the door all the time just to get service.

Also the customer service is outsourced to people who don't speak English. They wait til you say certain keywords on their list, then they read from a prepared script attached to that keyword. Very frustrating!

Probably Apple or Linksys. I just got the new Apple Airport so awesome. Love the new N fast fast fast. I can hook up storage on it so even when I'm away I can shoot files to the external HD. I also love streaming music to my speakers.
