Actually, this category is supposed to be ONLY about TRAVEL in the Philippines. I think all of the general questions about "What's for Dinner," "Social Problems in the Philippines," etc. that have nothing to do with this category are actually starting to put people off.
If you go to the "Travel" forum for other countries, people are asking questions about "Travel," this is becoming a general forum. I agree that the "Dining out" --> "Philippines" is a bit sad, but maybe if people would start going there to post instead of just posting everything related to the Philippines here, it would get livelier. If all of the questions about food and restaurants that have been posted in this forum were to be posted there it would be full.

Sanmigsea is absolutely right, it's pure laziness that prevents people from going to the right section here, and, asking people what's for dinner or talking about politics deserves the sort of answers that I post, I hope it annoys a few people.
All travel questions posted here get the benefit of my knowledge of this country's most beautiful spots (not Boracay), which is probably far greater than most Filipinos knowledge since I have spent 15 years travelling around this country, and am actually the foremost expert on several places, where I know every bay, beach, reef and bar.
I travel with my yacht and fast powerboats and have discovered places so beautiful and peaceful, un polluted, vendor free, genuinely Filipino and quiet, I don't believe many people have been as lucky as I have been to be able to do this and pass on the knowledge to others who would like to know.
Travel section is for travel, not food, religion or politics!

there are lots of people participating here compared to the philippines category in dining out.
dining out> philippines is sad! really sad!
so few questions.... :(

what else do you need to know? only a few has computers and could log in to the internet every now and then. but the answers you get here are valuable and true in some cases.
