I think they're both equally dangerous but if I had to choose one I would rather Bungee jump than rely on a little backpack to open correctly and save my life with the pull of a string

Hello. Skydiving is safer. In bungee jumping you can't fix problems that occur while falling. When you pull the cord for skydiving you have enough time to do your emergency procedures. Skydiving is safer than driving a car as well.

This doesn't answer your question fully, but note that simply the number of fatalities each had last year won't tell you which one is safer. You also have to take into account how often people did each one. So hypothetically if skydiving had four times the fatalities of bungee jumping, but people did it ten times as much, bungee jumping would still be more dangerous.

bungee is more dangerous if you ask me. in bungee jumping, many things can go wrong - the bungee cord can break, you might not be properly secured to the cord, the cord might be too long or the cord might coil around your neck and hang you on a rebound. in sky diving, your parachute and back up might fail, but you're trained to 'fly' to a jump buddy to do a tandem down. there are actual emergency procedures to prevent a fatalities in sky diving though they still occur.
I have tried bungee and I'm waiting for an opportunity to do sky diving. but from what I've heard from people who have done both, bungee jumping provides more of an adrenalin rush than sky diving. when you bungee jump, it really feels as if you're jumping to your death as you're free falling with the ground rushing up at you. in sky diving, you're kind of flying an you're so high up it doesn't feel as if you're going to die.

I'd think bungee jumping is safer. If your cord breaks during a bungee jump you usually don't have very far to fall. If your parachute doesn't open when you skydive, you have THOUSANDS of feet to fall.

Bungie, because the rope is already attached and u dont have to attach it urself, where in sky diving u have to pull the parachute cord or u die.

i dunno how many fatalities in the past year but bungy jumping i think is way safer....u rely on a think elastic cord rather than a small backpack containing a parachute which can more likely be tamperd with or just be a dud
