every time i put the clutch in to change gear the car makes a funny hissing sound from the engine does not sound good i can still get all gears but i dont know what the sound is please help

Head on over to http://www.cliosport.net theres several thousand owners on there and its free to join, if you register and ask there someones bound to know, theres people that own and run specialist Renault garages there so you're bound to get help.
They're pretty friendly as well - unless your Clio looks like its been chaved to within an inch of its life :)

it's either the clutch release bearing or the fingers on the diaphram worn either way it looks like a new clutch assembly in the near future
