Gore lied, critical thinking died.
*SIGH* Doesn't matter "if" because you'll soon be taxed to pay for removal programs and you'll have your civil liberties curtailed to "manage" the pollution that "man" creates...
Global warming is the new terrorist threat.

You are absolutely right. When my kids get to be old enough to understand, I am going to sit them down and tell them "Look, the world is probably going to be uninhabitable in the next 100 years or so, so don;t worry about what you do or who you do it with because by the time your children grow up, it won't matter. Spend all your money to make you happy, do what you like, it won't matter. Also, don't forget to tell your children they are doomed as soon they get to be your age. In fact, don't tell them anything because it won't matter." I'll do that right after I tell them there is no Santa Claus.
Changing for the better is always a good decision no matter how close to the end or hopeless it might seem. There is a future to think about.

Let see:
War on Poverty: Failure
Social Security; Failure
World Peace: Failure
Welfare: Failure
Thermo Nuclear War with USSR: Defeated by Ronald Reagan and no longer a threat.
Global Warming: New threat to all mankind to replace Thermo Nuclear War. Failure, because the most outspoken person on it is depicted as The Village Idiot.

Yes, mankind needs to make some enviromental changes.
Global Warming is not in the here and now....BUT within 50-70 years, people will see its effects in major ways.
Removing excess co2 from the atmosphere is a worthy cause.

Hell yes! Seriously watch Al Gore's DVD because he does the best job of explaining this issue than any one ever has. He makes a very complex issue understandable. For the record I am not a democrat (this is not a political issue - its a planet issue)
